Goodreads also offers Listopia, a collection of reader-created lists organized around genres, themes, audiences, settings, and countless other topics. Readers can add eligible books to relevant lists and vote for books already included, which can improve a title’s visibility among people actively browsing for that kind of book. For an independent author, a thoughtful review, a rating, or placement on a genuinely relevant Listopia list can help a book reach readers who might never otherwise discover it. Goodreads explains that Listopia rankings are influenced by reader votes and how highly books are ranked by voters.
