Author Participation & Engagement Policy
Author Participation & Engagement Policy
A Note to Readers
Readers come first.
The books are written for the people who read them, not for marketers, promoters, interviewers, or those seeking some other professional arrangement around them.
Readers are absolutely encouraged to read, discuss, and share the books in whatever way they find meaningful. That conversation belongs to them.
This policy applies only to those seeking a professional relationship, promotional arrangement, appearance, collaboration, media access, or other organized participation involving the author.
Once published, books belong to the people reading them. The author simply prefers to let that conversation happen independently.

Professional Courtesy and Contact Information
Unsolicited emails that do not include a clear introduction are generally not answered.
If you are contacting James Allen for any professional reason, please identify yourself clearly in the first message. That includes:
·Your actual name
·Company, organization, school, library, or publication name, if applicable
·Working contact information, including email, phone number, and website when relevant
·The reason for your message
Book Clubs & Reading Groups
Readers and book clubs are welcome to read and discuss any of the books written by James Allen.
However, the author does not participate in book club discussions, reading groups, or similar events connected to the books.
This includes:
In-person book club visits
Virtual book club appearances
Zoom / video discussion sessions
Email Q&A sessions with clubs
Coordinated discussion guides or group events
Once a book is published, the conversation belongs to the readers. Groups are encouraged to interpret, discuss, and debate the work freely.
The author simply does not participate in those discussions.
BookTok, Social Media Campaigns, and Promotional Programs
James Allen does not participate in BookTok promotion, influencer campaigns, coordinated reading promotions, or similar social media marketing programs.
Many authors choose to promote their work through these channels. That approach simply isn’t part of how this site or these books operate.
Interviews, Podcasts, and Media Requests
Schools & Libraries
These visits may include readings, conversations about writing, age-appropriate Q&A, and discussions of books, storytelling, or the creative process.
Because schedule, health, and logistics still matter, invitations are considered individually and cannot always be accepted. But genuine requests from schools and libraries are welcome.
Please include:
the name of the school or library
the contact person and role
location
age group or audience
type of event
requested date and time
expected length of visit
Paid Speaking or Participation Requests
In limited cases, paid professional appearance requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
These are evaluated as professional speaking engagements rather than casual invitations.
Any such inquiries should clearly state:
the organization involved
the nature of the event
expected time commitment
compensation offered
Please note that most requests are still declined.
Follow-Up Requests
If a request has already received a response declining participation, additional follow-up messages are unlikely to change the decision.
A clear “no” is intended as the final answer.
